Wastewater Operator-In-Training Internship

The Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority is currently offering two Wastewater Operator-In-Training Internships for qualified individuals. The selected candidate will be learning about the operation of a wastewater treatment facility and will also be trained in the area of compliance and discharge requirements for a Wastewater Treatment Plant. This position reports to the Operations Supervisor.

This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per work.

Education/Experience
Candidate must possess (at a minimum) a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), maintain in good standing a valid State of California Class C driver’s license. Experience in water or wastewater work is preferred but not required. Must complete application and obtain an “Operator-in-Training” certificate issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board within 30 days from date of hire.
