Salary: $63,252.80 - $98,654.40 Annually

Walnut Valley Water District is seeking a dedicated individual to join the team as a Utility Service Worker I or Utility Service Worker II. In this position, you’ll become a pivotal part of the Operations team at Walnut Valley Water District.

You’ll perform a variety of assignments in the areas of customer service and field maintenance associated with the District’s water service system. This position offers hands-on work in an outdoor environment with opportunities to build your skills and advance within the District.

Required (Certification, Licenses & Experience)

USW I

• High school graduation or equivalent

• Some experience in the reading of meters, water system operation and maintenance, and/or customer service.

• State of California SWRCB Water Distribution Operator Grade D1 Certificate is required.

• State of California SWRCB Water Treatment Operator Grade T1 Certificate is desired.

USW II

• High School graduation or equivalent

• Two (2) years’ experience in the reading of meters, water system operation and maintenance, and/or customer service.

• State of California SWRCB Water Distribution Operator Grade D2 Certificate is required.

• State of California SWRCB Water Distribution Operator Grade D3 Certificate is desired.

• State of California SWRCB Water Treatment Operator Grade T1 Certificate is desired.

• L.A. County Backflow Certification is desired.

• AWWA Backflow Tester and AWWA Cross-Connection Specialist certifications are desired

Special Requirements
Must reside within 30 miles of the District and be able to respond in a timely manner.
