Summary
The position is located at the City of Stockton's Delta Water Treatment Plant in North Stockton. The water treatment plant treats up to 30 million gallons per day of surface water from the Delta and Mokelumne River; and delivers high quality drinking water to the City's customers. The water treatment process consists of: preoxidation using ozone, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, and microfiltration using hollow-fiber pressure membranes. The current work schedule is 12-hour shifts (7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.) that rotate (8 months on days / 4 months on nights).

Operates, monitors, inspects, and performs routine maintenance on a variety of plant equipment in connection with the continuous operation of a water or wastewater treatment plant; as experience is gained, incumbents plan, organize, direct, and personally perform operational duties involved in the operation and routine maintenance of a water or wastewater treatment plant and related facilities during an assigned shift; performs related work as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Possession of a high school diploma or GED.

Experience/Certifications:
Valid California Grade T-3 Water Treatment Plant Operator Certificate.

Licenses:
Must possess and maintain a valid California Class C driver's license.

Salary: $5,626 to $6,897 Monthly
