Qualified candidate will perform repairs, calibration, and preventative maintenance with minimum supervision at our advanced wastewater treatment plant and facilities, on all types of complex electrical, instrumentation, and plant analytical equipment. Job duties include troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment, motor controls, switchgear, installation of conduits, wiring, instrumentation, and control system equipment. Ability to safely perform work on electrical equipment/systems up to 12,400 volts. Other duties include calibration and repair of process control instruments and analyzers. Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Also required to work emergency standby on weekends and evenings as required. This position will support the needs at all 3 of our locations (Fountain Valley, Anaheim and Corona). QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work with process control and analytical instrumentation, motor controls and electrical distribution equipment, process logic controllers, graphical MMI systems, and control networks. Background in the water and wastewater or related field highly desirable. Knowledge of National Electrical Code, CAL/OSHA, electrical theory and formulas.
High School Diploma, or General Equivalency Degree required. Instrumentation, electrical and/or process controls license certification required. Six years of related journey level instrumentation and electrical experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. California Water and Environment Association (CWEA) Grade III Electrical and Instrumentation certification desired. Journeyman certification, trade school or college level course work highly desirable in instrumentation and electrical. SCHEDULE:
