Approximate Monthly Salary Plus Excellent Benefits: $6,876.48 - $7,582.92
Under general supervision, the Senior Equipment Technician leads, plans, schedules, and oversees the work of Equipment Technicians and Fleet Service Workers while performing the same and/or more difficult duties as those being led; ensures completion of tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures; communicates policies, procedures, and job expectations; and provides training to staff.
Four years of full-time paid experience diagnosing malfunctions, and repairing and maintaining gasoline, diesel, or alternatively powered vehicles such as medium and heavy duty trucks, buses, or construction equipment.
Note: Coursework from an accredited college, vocational training school, or military training program in Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, Heavy Maintenance Equipment Repair, or Construction Equipment Repair, or other area or field closely related to the intent of the class may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience on the basis of 2.5 semester units (3.75 quarter units) are equal to one month of experience.
