Salary: $120,567 - $158,545/year, DOQ + benefits.

The Principal Civil Engineer manages and directs the Water Division’s CIP, supervises employees, and directs the work of contractors. The ideal candidate is a Senior engineering professional who is passionate about water and who will support, inspire, and mentor subordinate staff. They have expert level experience designing and constructing pump stations, water storage facilities, and water mains. They have in-depth knowledge of hydraulics and strong project management skills.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; 7 years of professional engineering experience, including 2 years as a Senior Civil Engineer; and registration as a Civil Engineer in the State of California. Desirable qualifications include a master’s degree in civil engineering and PMP certification.
