SFID is seeking an Operations Manager with a minimum of seven years of experience as described herein, who is a strong leader, possesses solid management and critical thinking skills and is in search of a rewarding career at a dynamic organization. Position
To plan, organize, direct and review the activities and operations of the Operations Department including plant maintenance and operations, water quality, lake management operations, meter services, construction, distribution system operation and maintenance, regulatory compliance of recycled water use sites, cross-connection control program, raw water conveyance systems, dam maintenance and surveillance, buildings and grounds maintenance, and equipment and fleet maintenance; to coordinate assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies; to ensure that water delivered to customers continually complies with all state and federal drinking water standards, and to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the General Manager. - Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in chemistry, biology, engineering or a related field.
- Seven years of increasingly responsible, combined experience in the operation and maintenance of a state-of-the art water treatment plant similar in complexity to that of the District and a water distribution system; including three years of administrative and management responsibility.
Possession of a valid California State Water Resources Control Board Water Treatment Operators Certificate, Grade 5 (T5) and Distribution Operators Certificate, Grade 4 (D4). Grade 5 (D5) is highly desirable. Salary:
