Th is supervisory position reports to the Deputy Director of Engineering and Operations, and will plan and coordinate the maintenance activities at the Polonio Pass Water Treatment Plant, Santa Ynez Pumping Plant and the 140 mile long distribution system of the Central Coast Water Authority.
Strong supervision and project management experience is required, with technical competence in industrial instrumentation and controls, as well as with either distributed control systems or programmable logic controllers (DCS/PLC). Technical competence in network communication, SCADA, electrical, mechanical and instrumentation calibration work is also desirable but not specifically required.
Th e Maintenance Superintendent will directly supervise the Instrumentation Department, which has a staff of three Technicians, and the Plant Maintenance Department, which has a staff of one foreman and two Technicians. In addition, the Maintenance Superintendent will work closely with the Distribution Department through directing maintenance activity.
