This is advanced work involving the design and/or evaluation of complex hydrologic studies and geospatial models; and/or the evaluation of the complex aspects of hydrological projects.
Job duties include:
- Provides technical assistance to senior staff in support of monitor well network maintenance and design, well abandonment, geophysical logging and well construction.
- Assists in groundwater quality and groundwater level evaluations; evaluating and refining networks to optimize spatial and temporal data collection.
- Coordinates with other divisions in identifying, developing, and obtaining new site easements in support of the District’s monitoring well network.
- Serves as liaison with other divisions and outside agencies on projects related to CFWI/DMIT and other projects as assigned.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in geology, hydrology or a related field and two years of professional experience in hydrology relating to water resources.
Experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education. Additional Details: Base Salary:
