SALARY: $75,275.20 - $91,728.00 Annually DOE

NATURE OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
The Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority is currently seeking experienced and qualified individuals for the position of Electrical Instrumentation Technician I. Under general supervision the Electrical Instrumentation Technician I is responsible for performing electrical and instrumentation work with a minimum of technical guidance. The position requires the ability to perform complex electrical work and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution systems, motors, pumps, and instrumentation, sewer and storm water collection and pumping systems. Performs a wide variety of duties that include common preventative maintenance by inspecting equipment, checking voltage and amperage, tightening and cleaning equipment and locating potential problems. Any combination equivalent experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities preferred. Additionally, successful completion of the certification as a Grade II Plant Maintenance Electrical Instrumentation Technologist as issued by the California Water Environment Association (CWEA) within 18 months of appointment is required.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Candidate must possess (at a minimum) a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), maintain in good standing a valid State of California Class C driver’s license. Experience requires four years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment in a water and/or wastewater treatment plant. Experience in an industrial or commercial environment performing similar or same duties can be considered. Candidates possessing experience in the maintenance and repair of electronic programmable logic control systems is preferred.
