Under general supervision, maintains, repairs, plans, inspects, modifies, designs, installs, and calibrates electrical power, electronics instrumentation, mechanical communication, programmable logic controllers (PLC), 480 Volt systems and related control systems used for power, control and measurement for water treatment, facilities.
Experience/Training Desired: Three years of varied experience in the maintenance, repair, fabrication, and installation of SCADA equipment, computer, control, analytical instrumentation, and/or electrical systems in a process-related environment. Two years of college-level education in computer programming and networking or electronics systems. AA/AS Degree in Electrical Technology, and/or a California C10 Electrical license; Certifications in Electronics or Electrical Maintenance, SCADA architecture, and/or computer network systems.
License/Certification Requirements: Possession of a valid California driver's license at the time of appointment. Must obtain a Water Treatment Plant Operator Grade 2 (T2) certificate issued by the State Water Resources Control Board within one (1) year of appointment. Must obtain a Grade II Electrical/Instrumentation Technologist Certification issued by the California Water Environment Association (CWEA) within three (3) years of appointment.
Salary: $73,720 to $99,535 Annually
